Tavern was a pleasant find for us when Wendy was in LA earlier this month. A year old establishment in West LA with a dining area and a casual cafe (the larder) next door where you can take out a variety of food and bakery goodies, it definitely satisfied the tastebuds. We had the Grand Fromage (grilled asiago with prosciutto and house made sweet potato chips), a heathy yet o-so-satisfying salad (shrimp & crab louie with avocado, egg, and russian dressing), and also partook in some macarons (in coffee, Mexican chocolate, and vanilla flavors). The macaron had a slightly more chewy crust but we didn't mind it, and all three fillings were absolutely delicious (coffee was our favorite!). We will definitely come back for more.
